The Employees' Provident Fund Organization is a government body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment which works for the employees related to saving of money through PF and Pension Scheme .Under this scheme, the employee contributes 12% of his basic salary every month. The employer also contributes an same amount (8.33% towards pension scheme and 3.67% towards Provident Fund ) in the employee’s account. Which means the employees get double of his contribution with the help of EPFO Scheme.also, if the employee wants to withdraw the amount it's very easy to take claim in the few days. The Whole amount will be transferred in your bank account without any deduction.

You can now check your EPF balance via -

·         UMANG App, 

·         EPFO Website 

·         SMS

·         MISSED CALL SEVA

EPFO website-

Step 1-  Visit EPFO Website.

Step 2 - click on our services option seen first on the menu .

 Step 3  - Choose the 'For Employees' option from the drop-down menu.

Step 4 - find members passbook option below services  option .

Step 5 - click on member passbook option and login in portal.

Note - Username is your UAN number and enter Password.

Step 6 -  after login passbook will be opened check it easily also you can download it using download option .

Via SMS -

Following things are required for check pf balance through Sms-

1. Mobile Number must activated with UAN at Unified Portal.

2. Any one of following KYC must be done against the UAN.

a. Bank A/c Number.

b.Aadhaar

c.PAN

Step 1- First you type EPFOHO UAN ENG in the message box .

Note - Here ENG is the English language,if you want to get passbook in hindi just type HIN.

Step 2-Send an SMS to mobile number 7738299899.

Missed call Facility -

You can check your EPF balance by giving a missed call to the phone from your registered mobile number.This facility is only avalible for those employees which are already registered on the UAN portal.

Give Missed call from registered mobile number to 01122901406 .

Umang App-

Step 1 - Download the Umang app from  google playstore and then login without registered mobile 

 number and other details .

UMANG APP

 Step 2 - click on the "EPFO" option on the app’s homepage.

Step 3 -Now you select the employee centric service' and proceed further.

Step 4 - Under 'employee centric service', you select View passbook option to know your PF balance/details.

 Step 5 - after click on the view passbook tab, you need to enter your active UAN and OTP .

 Step 6 - your passbook will be open, you can download it easily and check all details related to your PF account.
